Rush Wisconsin Southeast determines competitive age groups using a school–year–based calendar rather than a traditional calendar year.

Players are grouped based on birthdates that fall between August 1 and July 31, aligning with U.S. school enrollment years. This approach provides consistency across league play, tournaments, and long-term player development.
