We will wear our Rush blue and white kits for Super Y from the 2023/2024 season.
If you are new to the club or a non rush player, we will look to get a loaner, or if its a whole new team, may offer a low cost solution.
Super Y is for the 2024/2025 seasons, so this will be one year up from what players are currently playing. Trainings and games start in mid-June and run through the first weekend in August.
2010 11v11
2011 11v11
2012 11v11
2013 9v9
2014 9v9 (not eligible for nationals)
We may combine younger age groups to form stronger rosters with more depth.
There is a possibility that the games will be a one or more of these sites. The hope is that we have some local clubs in our bracket, and can schedule June, or week night games. Outside of that, the host sites are below. Rarely will you play at each site, every week. The schedule was late last year, and we didnt kn ow who we were playing until late May. We try and get this out as early as possible.
(Indiana Invaders Sports Complex) 55200 Pine Rd, South Bend, IN 46628
(Edwardsburg Sports Complex) 27566 US-12, Edwardsburg, MI 49112
(Pacesetter Park) 8801 Sylvania-Metamora Rd, Sylvania, OH 43560
(Waukegan’s Greg Petry SportsPark) 3391 W Beach Rd, Waukegan, IL 60085
New players who tryout in spring for one of our travel clubs may be considered if they are likely to be added to one of our club teams and if we have roster positions available within their respective age group. We want to offer Super Y to our current players as a development opportunity, if we feel we have given all our players the opportunity to play, but don’t have enough depth or quality, we will look to use some of our other affiliates, and or players from other clubs.
Super Y offers leagues throughout the Midwest in a bid to win your division and attend Nationals in Florida in December. Locally, during the summer season, which is typically from early June to the first weekend in August, we can play as local as the Chicagoland area, or as far as Toledo, stretching between Indiana, and Michigan. We will know more about the specific teams schedule after the scheduling meeting in early spring. We will try to keep out of state trips to 1 overnight to cut down on costs. The makeup of the league really does differ, and some age groups played all their games locally last year, while others had 3 weekends out of state.
Training will be from midJune to the first week in August, and we will post a specific training schedule once we get the game schedule. Game schedules are generally worked out by the middle of May, but families will have the list of blackout dates before that, so they can plan family travel accordingly.
Based on the response and selection of teams in your invite email, we will clarify who will be coaching and where the trainings will be. It will be two sessions a week, both with your coach, and at a time realistic for any players traveling out of their community. If there are conflicts with a player attending their designated training or if players wants to explore additional training opportunities at other locations, this will be determined by the coach of the team, who will work with the DOC, and other coaches.
We would like to form teams with rosters of 18 players for (u13-19) and 16 for (u12). We may add a few training players, if needed, knowing the conflicts that the summer brings. Having a full roster of players helps create a competitive training environment and prepares the players for the challenge of games.
It is imperative that all current Super Y players that would like to receive an offer to play again in 2024 register on the main Rush Wisconsin Southeast site by March 22nd (rushwisconsinsoutheast.com). This allows our coaching staff to start putting together teams, locations, coaches and tentative training schedules.
After the Coaches have evaluated the players interested, we will start building rosters and letting players know they have made the team. The process happens as quickly as our members go to the main Rush site and register for the 2024 Super Y tryout and show interest and commitment for Super Y 2024.
Once offers are sent, parents will have 48 hours to accept the roster spot for their child.
We will look to assign a local coach either from the Rush Union staff, or another of our qualified and experienced staff coaches who are able to commit to the program during the summer months. We will ensure that each coach involved in the program provide a good experience for our players and families.
The fee will be $575 to play for our Super Y teams. For this fee, our players will practice 2 days a week throughout the summer (training location will be based on majority of team). The $595 fee will cover out of town coach expenses for the summer portion. Teams that advance to Nationals will need to pay an additional fee to cover additional trainings, friendlies and coaches travel expenses.
Super Y is a summer league that offers further development for players looking to compete and play in a National Championship. The Super Y National Championships take place in Florida in December each year. The league is nationwide, with regional summer competition. In order to qualify for nationals, teams must win the regional summer league. The league is designed for players seeking to compete at the top level, against several high level teams in the area. Super Y offers players the opportunity to play competitive games in what typically is the off-season for most clubs, enhancing player development.
