Academy Description

The Youth Academy program focuses on developing the soccer skills of players who have demonstrated a strong interest and enjoyment of the game. We draw many players from more recreational programs because they are looking for a more challenging soccer environment. Yet, for others, the pure joy of the game brings them to our program.

The purpose of the Rush Youth Academy program is to prepare players to be successful competitive players as they move through our program and graduate to the Senior Competitive program. The Youth Academy program focuses on the following key areas:

Fun trainings in a safe but challenging environment
Emphasis on fundamental technical, skill development
Challenging players cognitively in fast paced small sided games
Athletic movement, coordination, and balance exercises and activities
Rush core values, team building and importance of sportsmanship

The Youth Academy program is divided into age group categories:

U8 Boys and Girls (2017)
U9 Boys and Girls (2016)
U10 Boys and Girls (2015)

U8 players (2015) that are interested in Academy and possess the skill/ambition may play up at U9 at the discretion of the coaching director.

There are no tryouts for Academy players. Academy Program
U8-U11 (2017-2015 Birth Years)

Academy soccer is for the player that loves the game and wants more from the
sport. It is the transition from recreational soccer to travel select programs.

Program Description

(2) 90-minute Training Per Week (daylight dependent)

10-weeks of winter training.

Approximately 16 league games (8-fall, 8-spring)

Opportunities

Professional coaching staff.

Players are eligible to participate in all Rush programming including additional off-season and
winter training.

Teams may elect to participate in additional tournaments (additional fee)
