Derek spent his soccer career playing club at Elm Grove SC growing up.  He took his experiences there to play high school at Heritage Christian where he had tremendous success as captain of the team.  His team would go on and win the WISAA State Championship!!

Derek then proceeded to Trinity International University where he would also be named a two time captain of the program and a two time all-region player.

Derek then got into the world of coaching and has helped guide multiple teams for the Kenosha Crew, AFC Union and now currently with Rush WISE.  He holds his 9v9 certificate from USSF and is planning on pursuing his D license in the near future. 

Off the field Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids watching and playing various sports. A passionate fan of Wisconsin sport’s teams and Manchester United.
